Everyone of us has a secret garden, an inner sanctuary, where our wildest dreams and our sweetest memories mingle with our darkest secrets. However, the digital era makes it difficult to preserve intimacy and protect this personal place. We are constantly led to expose our private life, leading us to "a moral transformation [of] the "I have nothing to hide" (Harcourt, 2020).
But then, how not to get lost in this digital ocean? How to preserve our secret garden, without letting it wander, at the whim of the desires of others?
The artists of the itinerant exhibition "Dans l'intimité d'un jardin" explore these issues by offering a reflection on identity, its communication and its transmission in the digital age. They offer performances or interactive and sensory installations in order to find a reconciliation between the well-being and autonomy of our personal spaces and the requirements of technology. The exhibition invites you to sneak into their secret gardens and opens a door to the intimacy of beings gravitating around them.
