Taröt 2.0 is the result of a reflection on the divinatory practice of the Tarot in the digital age.
This work is developed in the form of cinematographic capsules of the Tarot cards,
which are integrated into a digital cartomancy device called "Tarotmaton".
What are the metamorphoses on an individual and collective scale?
In the age of new technologies, where our social relationships are alienated to the digital, the quest for the invisible resurfaces;
digital witches, rituals and paganism online are resurging. Isn't the need to see beyond the tangible a symptom of an ultra-material world and paradoxically ultra-dematerialized?
Can we use new technologies as a mean of apprehending the future and the individual's relationship to existential questions?
Tarot is an ancestral card game used for divinatory purposes.
Faced with an unfathomable future, it is an instrument of reflection on internal questions.
Anchored in the collective unconscious, the symbols and archetypes present in the cards make it possible to imagine the potentials and a unique interpretation for each draw.
Cards are reborn in the form of living digital paintings and are integrated into an immersive divinatory work.
This work has been presented during the exhibition "13 Marseille" organized by Coco Velten from October 21 to 31, 2023.
