The different mannequins of Tasty paradox feign the presence of visitors in the exhibition space, made up of several avatars of the real world.
This installation questions the boundary between tangible reality and illusion, explores the overlap of our physical and digital realities,
thus opening a space for reflection on the impact of technology, on our social interactions and our humanity.
Encouraging us to rethink our own perception of space and others, spectators become actors despite themselves,
confronted with the presence of both physical and ghostly anonymous figures.
Sophistications is a Mediterranean artist based in Marseille. Sensitive to the universe of science fiction, urban space, cinema, surveillance technologies, his work and research come to life in public space where he explores the complexities of contemporary society, convinced that art must be a force of disruption of our senses and tastes. His works can thus highlight aspects of the human experience in the face of the law. Through his installations, he speaks of passion, quest for influence and power, consumption, violence. He sees works as social commentary, but also as spaces for exploration and confrontation that open dialogue and encourage action.
